Blood group discrepancies in leukemia children: A cross sectional study.

Objective: To Estimate the frequency of blood group discrepancies among Leukemia Children. Study Design: Cross Sectional study. Setting: University Child Health Sciences, The Children Hospital Lahore. Period: October to January 2020. Material & Methods: This study was conducted patients in CH and ICH Lahore, regarding ABO leukemic patients, year 2019. A total 200 samples were processed order detect by tube method grouping, using antisera-A, antisera-B, antisera-D for forward grouping A-cells, B-cells O-cells reverse grouping. Auto-control also run reacting patient’s cell suspension with own serum. collected data checked its completeness, consistency accuracy before analysis. Results: In this study, a subjects included out which 122 (61%) male 78 (39 %) female. Most common age 6-10 years. ALL 157(78.5%) AML 43(21.5%). Blood discrepancy found 5 (2.5%) all Group I. Conclusion: that leukemia (ALL, AML) results must be resolved proper serological workup. Both should performed investigate correct accurately matched transfused these patients.
